1 . GENETICS

Ibérico Pork comes from the distinctive Black Iberian Pig – also known as “Pata Negra”. It’s actually the same pork whose hind legs retail for up to $4,500 in the form of Spain’s world famous “Jamón Ibérico”. This rare breed from Spain is bred to contain a higher fat content than many other pigs, giving the meat a distinctive marbling similar to Kobe and Wagyu beef.

2 . LIFESTYLE

For true Ibérico perfection, the pigs have to be raised in the right environment and live a happy life. In fact, Ibérico pigs live twice as long as their counterparts. The pigs roam free and eat the local all-natural cuisine. They feed for at least two seasons to help garner that truly distinct flavor.

3 . DIET

Campo Grande’s Ibérico pigs are fed a diet of nuts and whole grains, which makes for multilayered flavor and incredible marbling.

Another Great Campo Grande Product

Don't be turned off by the price. You get a lot for your money! 8 hours in the oven at 250, then twenty minutes at 500 to crisp it up. Fed 7 people and still had leftovers for days. High quality meat like all Campo Grande's products. I'll order again.

Campo Grande Iberico Shoulder is AMAZING

I smoke a lot of pork butts and I have recently been introduced to the Iberico pork shoulder. I wondered how a $159 "butt" would compare with what I get from the grocer. Let me say this-- there is NO COMPARISON. If I am going to do a12-14 hour low and slow $159 is nothing to spend on something that should be special. Mine was quite simply AMAZING and was the EASIEST thing I have EVER done. I also have to give some credit to my Traeger grill for allowing me to do it overnight without really worrying.

We love to hear this! Grocery store pork really can't compare to Iberico - and we are so happy to hear when people give Iberico a fair shot! We would love to see some pictures if you took any!
